About us

To clarify the regulation of synaptic transmission and neural plasticity, promote translational research from bench to bedside, elucidate the pathogenesis of neural degenerative diseases and finally develop the strategy for the treatment of these diseases, we have pursued following themes, focusing on the spinal cord, systematically and integratively from molecular to behavioral levels.

  1. Mechanisms for maintenance of chronic pain and regeneration of peripheral nerves in animal models
  2. Molecular imaging of neural network by use of two-photon microscopy and mass imaging microscopy
  3. Signal transduction and epigenesis within and between neurons and glia based on neural plasticity
  4. Isolation and functional analyses of novel molecules such as RILP and SCRAPPER
